Chapter I

The World of Draco

The World of Draco

A world where humans — called Dragonette Keepers — bond with, train, and race baby dragons called dragonettes.

The name "Draco" comes from the Latin word for dragon. Despite their name, dragonettes are not small — they hatch from eggs at full adult dragon size. They are "baby" dragons in age and experience, but massive in stature.

Bond icon

The connection between Keeper and dragonette is everything. At its deepest, a Keeper can transform into their dragon.

Race icon

Race

Enter stadiums, compete against rivals, use elemental powers as strategy. Win badges to prove your worth.

Master icon

Hatch at full adult size. Crystal slots on wings. Breathe colored fire matching their element.

Society icon Society

Fire dragons are most common. An organized racing circuit with stadiums and rules.

Technology icon Technology

Most abilities work anytime. "Silver Moonlight" only at night. More secrets unlock with Thunder Cloud.

Beyond the Horizon

Aurora Layer

Aurora Layer

A shimmering band of light in the upper atmosphere. Gateway to the Chromatic Fields. Visible from the ground, but only reachable by flying dragons.

Chromatic Fields

Chromatic Fields

A dimensional intersection with floating islands and prismatic skies. Dragons born here have "wrong" colors — their element stays the same but appearance shifts.

Shadowpeak Mountains

Shadowpeak Mountains

Dark range under perpetual storms. The Voice Below's obsidian fortresses pulse with purple energy. Shadow dragons patrol the skies.

Chapter II

Fire Dragon

Red & Orange

Fire breath and fire-based attacks. Extremely effective against shelled enemies — only 2 fire hits needed vs. 100 non-fire hits.

Strong against: Power

Psychic Dragon

Psychic

Telekinesis, making things vanish, unlocking doors, psychokinetic beam. Does NOT read minds.

The pink stripes run along the seam where top meets sides.

Spirit Dragon

Spirit

Standard

Spirit Dragon

Dark purple, forehead gem

Create illusions, sense truth, fire a beam from forehead gem that shares knowledge. Ghost and "Halloween" powers. Spirit and Ghost are the same element.

New: Outraging Spirit Army (60 dmg, Master unlock), Portal Closer (closes portals), Derealize (party becomes intangible).

Strong vs: Shadow

Silver Moonlight ability — only works at night.

Speed Dragon

Speed

Special

Speed Dragon

Golden

Top speed 270 mph vs. normal 50 mph. "As fast as a peregrine falcon." Can fly slower when they choose.

BANNED from races

Power Dragon

Weak to: Thunder Cloud & Electric

BANNED from races

Thunder Cloud Dragon

Thunder Cloud

Special / Locked

Thunder Cloud Dragon

Dark Storm

Lightning feathers that release charged particles generating real thunder and lightning. Only obtainable by defeating Draco.

Weak to: Grass

The "missing element." Unlocks unknown time-restricted powers.

Universe Dragon

Universe

Advanced / Locked

Universe Dragon

Microscopic star map & compass

Body bears a microscopic universe map — need a microscope to see individual stars. Tiny compass on the map. Can crush shelled creatures in a single hit.

Universal Camouflage: Bends light for full invisibility.

One of the "1000 elements" — most still locked.

Cosmic Dragon

Cosmic

Advanced / Locked

Cosmic Dragon

Space map — nebulae & constellations

Looks like "a map of space." Powers similar to Universe. Visually distinct: Cosmic = space map, Universe = compass.

Multistar: Hundreds of star-projectiles, 10% cost per use.

Strong vs: Shadow

One of the "1000 elements" — most still locked.

Egg Dragon

Egg

Advanced / Locked

Egg Dragon

Warm cream & gold, egg on top

Always moves with an egg on top. Can force other dragons back inside their eggs — they forget ALL training and taming. A complete reset.

"They'll forget that they were even trained."

Wood Dragon

Wood

Advanced / Locked

Wood Dragon

This element has been mentioned but its powers remain unknown. One of the "1000 elements" yet to be fully revealed.

Locked — details TBD.

Starlight Dragon

Starlight

Advanced / Unlocked

Starlight Dragon

Deep blue to violet with silver star patterns

Creates concentrated starlight beams, illuminates darkness, temporarily blinds opponents, reveals hidden truths through light (similar to Spirit's truth-sensing but light-based).

Diamonds in the Sky: Thousands of crystalline star-points rocket forward.

Strong vs: Shadow

Crystalline spines create wind-chime sounds when moving.

Shadow Dragon

Shadow

Enemy Element

Shadow Dragon

Dark body with glowing purple veins

Serves the Voice Below. Cannot be bonded by keepers. Commands dark tendrils that drain energy.

Shadow Drain: Dark tendrils drain energy. Shadow Merge: 3 dragons combine into 1 giant with 6 purple eyes.

Weak to: Cosmic, Starlight, Spirit

Cosmic Dragon

1000 Elements

There are "like 1000 elements" in the Draco universe — meaning roughly 1000 different types of dragons. Most remain locked and undiscovered. "Locked elements that I'm not supposed to tell you about, their secret." The element system is open-ended, with new elements continuously discoverable. Starlight was recently unlocked!

Spirit-Grass Breed Dragon

Dragons of different elements can breed, producing hybrid dragonettes with combined powers. To tame a breed dragon, you need a Breed Berry — a special berry specifically for bonding with hybrid dragonettes.

Known breed: Spirit-Grass — combines Spirit truth-sensing with Grass powers. Strong against Thunder Cloud. Has "Grass Spirit Army" attack (drains opponents by 10%).

Chromatic Fields

Chromatic Dragons

Dragons born in the Chromatic Fields — a dimensional intersection accessible through the Aurora Layer — keep their elemental powers but have "wrong" colors. A Fire dragon might be green, an Electric dragon blue, a Water dragon pink.

Their element remains unchanged; only their appearance differs. Rare and highly prized because their misleading colors confuse opponents in battle.

Power Dragon

Custom Element Rule

Every player MUST invent their own unique element for at least one dragon. Creativity and personal expression are built into the game.

Example: Aza created "Power Breathing" — an ability that degrades the attack power of every opposing dragon by 10 points.

Berries and candy strengthen the bond. Complete crystals + feeding = full bond.

Spirit Dragon

The Spirit Dragon Who Wanted a Family

One specific wild Spirit dragon who had lost its family approached Papa — the first kind person it encountered. This particular dragon craved family and companionship — "more like a dog." Because Papa showed it kindness, its wing crystal slots filled automatically. (This is the story of one individual dragon — not a trait all Spirit dragons share.)

A drone announces races and manages countdowns. Can change color for special occasions — like turning pink for a special event.

Wonky Donkers

Cheating & Enforcement

Wonky Donkers always tries to disguise banned dragons with cardboard. Spirit dragons detect disguises (truth-sensing). Psychic dragons remove them (making cardboard vanish). Aloha enforces rules by literally kicking cheaters out with a giant robotic boot.

Chapter VI

Combat & Battle

Two dragons battling mid-air
Battle Scene

Attack Power System

Every dragon starts at 100% attack power. Abilities like "Power Breathing" degrade opponent power by 10 per hit. At 0%, the dragon is eliminated. After battle, all dragons recharge to 100%.

Dragon with force field shield
Force Field

Shelled Enemies

Enemies with dragon scale energy shells are extremely durable. Non-fire attacks deal ~1% damage (100 hits needed). Fire attacks: only 2 hits to break through. Use Fire dragons.

Snake Friend

Poisonous Powers

Obtained via snake snacks from the snake friend encounter. Grants toxic attacks for use in combat and adventure. Banned from races but effective in battle.

Jack O'Rabbit Battle

Clone Mechanic

Some enemies (like Jack O'Rabbit) create clones when attacked. Clones grow from baby to adult in ~2 seconds, powered by Earth's magnetism. Counter: throw them into space (psychic powers or Speed Atmosphere) where they can't grow. Fire causes more clones. Universe element one-hits shelled enemies.

Thunder Cloud Dragon. Not inherently evil — controlled by an evil shell connected to the Voice Below. Once defeated, freed and can be tamed. Like a "mega Rayquaza in a Pokémon boss stadium."

Weakness: Grass. Requires 10 badges to challenge.

Wonky Donkers

Wonky Donkers

Surveillance Drone

Surveillance Drones

Keeper Transformation

Keeper Transformation

The deepest level of bonding. With a Dragon Eye Amulet and sufficient bond, a Keeper can physically transform into one of their dragons — gaining all powers while retaining their own mind.

If you transform into a Thunder Cloud dragon, you gain lightning feathers that generate real thunder and lightning.

Story Moments

A villain disguised a Speed dragon using cardboard to sneak it into a race. A Spirit dragon sensed the deception and alerted Aloha, who reported the dragon was going 100 mph faster than it should. A Psychic dragon then made all cardboard on the track disappear, revealing the costume.

Themes: Teamwork, truth vs. deception, the unique value of each dragon type.

One specific wild Spirit dragon who had lost its family approached Papa — the first kind person it saw — wanting to be adopted. This particular dragon craved companionship, and its wing crystal slots filled automatically because Papa showed it kindness.

Themes: Found family, compassion, the emotional bond between keeper and dragon.

A flying turtle with dragon-scale-energy shell attacked. A Psychic dragon tried throwing a tree — barely 1% damage. The keepers realized the shell is weak to fire. Two fire-breath hits defeated it, harvesting dragon scale and turtle meat.

Themes: Problem-solving, learning enemy weaknesses, teamwork between dragon types.

After obtaining dragon scale from the Tow Road, keepers placed it on their dragons to activate force fields. They tested by firing attacks at each other — the fields absorbed and reflected them.

Themes: Preparation, trust between teammates, testing before the real fight.

Two keepers entered as a team — Grass dragon (Leaf Blade) and Spirit dragon. The Grass dragon created a razor-leaf wall, but teammates could pass through. Wonky Donkers showed up with a cardboard-disguised Power dragon and was detected. The team won by flying through the flashing trophy, earning five badges.

Themes: Friendship, strategy, humor, the thrill of competition.

A keeper with a deep bond received a Dragon Eye Amulet — a glowstone containing the eye of a dragon — granting the ability to transform into any bonded dragonette while keeping their own mind.

Themes: Earned trust, transformation, the reward of deep bonds.

Epic battle against Jack O'Rabbit and its clones

The keepers encountered Jack O'Rabbit — a giant fuzzy rabbit with a skull for a head. Papa used psychic powers to float a carrot as a distraction, and the creature took a big bite. When attacked, it began creating clones that grew to adult size in seconds.

Papa threw clones into space with psychic powers, discovering they need Earth's magnetism to grow. Ramming clones barely scratched them (1% damage). Fire worked but caused more clones. Finally, Speed Atmosphere launched Jack O'Rabbit into space — victory. Loot: rabbit meat, a dragon skill, and a skull that summons a skeleton Dragon you can tame.

Themes: Creative problem-solving, environmental mechanics, learning weaknesses through trial and error.

Discovering the Spirit-Grass breed dragon in a meadow

Before a race, the keepers discovered a rare Spirit-Grass breed dragon nearby. Aza recognized its value: "Thunder Cloud is weak to it, but also it can tell true." They tamed it with a Breed Berry — a special berry for bonding with hybrid dragonettes.

Themes: Recognizing strategic advantages, breed diversity, preparation before battle.

Flash Dragon racing at incredible speed

The team — Aza with Flash Dragon, Papa with Spirit and Psychic dragons, and The Finisher — entered a special race. The Race Drone turned pink for the occasion. They used the Spirit-Grass breed's "Grass Spirit Army" attack (10% drain), won the Supersonic Pink Trophy, and earned five badges toward Dragonette Master.

Themes: Teamwork, special occasions, hybrid dragon strategy, progression toward mastery.

Chapter IX

Keeper Secrets

Game balance, restrictions, and mysteries yet to be revealed...

Spirit dragon under silver moonlight
Power Dragon

Why Not Always Choose Power?

  • Weaker individual abilities than specialists
  • Vulnerable to Thunder Cloud (the final boss)
  • Banned from races (can't earn badges)
  • Specialists excel in their domain
Spirit Dragon

Spirit Dragons in Races

Spirit dragons are NOT banned. While they sense truth and detect deception, this doesn't give unfair racing advantage — tricks and cheating are already against the rules. Races are full-contact — all dragon abilities including combat and health-draining moves are part of normal racing strategy.

Power Dragon Flexibility

Power dragon keepers can cycle through element types. Using a spell, "put the berry back" — revert to egg state — and re-bond as a different element.

Force Field

Force Field Sensitivity

Dragon Scale force fields have a sensitivity percentage that decreases with use. Starts high, degrades as it absorbs hits. Can reflect absorbed attacks back at the attacker.

Breed Dragon

Breed Dragons

Dragons of different elements can breed, creating hybrid dragonettes with combined powers. Tame them with a Breed Berry. Known: Spirit-Grass Breed — has "Grass Spirit Army" attack and is strong against Thunder Cloud.

Starlight Dragon

1000 Elements

There are "like 1000 elements" — most are locked and undiscovered. "Locked elements that I'm not supposed to tell you about, their secret." Universe, Cosmic, Egg are just the beginning. Starlight has been unlocked — Wood remains mysterious.

Shadow Dragon

The Shadow Element

An enemy-only element serving the Voice Below. Shadow dragons have dark bodies with glowing purple veins and command dark energy. They can drain energy with Shadow Drain and merge — three combining into one giant with six purple eyes. Weak to Cosmic, Starlight, and Spirit. No keeper has ever bonded one... yet.

Shadowpeak Mountains

The Voice Below

The entity behind Draco's corruption is far more dangerous than anyone knew. Called "the Voice Below," it commands Shadow dragons, Star Parasites, and Surveillance Drones from obsidian fortresses in the Shadowpeak Mountains. Its goal: consume starlight from the stars themselves.
